Steven Smith 7th Player to score 1000 runs in Tests in 2016


27 years old Australian Skipper crossed thousand runs this year 2016. Steven Smith is crossed thousand runs continuously three years (2014, 2015, 2016). Indian Test Skipper Virat Kolhi is the only Indian in the list with 1215 runs from just 12 matches.





During his knock of 165 in the Second Test against Pakistan at Melbourne on Friday, Steven Smith became the 7th player to score 1000 runs or more in Test cricket in 2016.

Smith’s tally of runs in Tests in 2016 stands 1079 runs @ 52.85 with 4 tons and 5 fifties in 11 Tests.

England’s keeper-cum-batsman Jonny Bairstow is the first to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016. Bairstow’s tally of runs in 2016 stands 1470 runs @ 58.80 with 3 tons and 8 fifties in 17 Tests.

England Right Batsman Joe Root is second to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016. Root’s tally of runs in 2016 stands 1477 runs @ 60.70 with 3 tons and 10 fifties in 17 Tests.

England skipper Alastair Cook is third to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016. Cook’s tally of runs in 2016 stands 1270 runs @ 42.33 with 2 tons and 7 fifties in 17 Tests.

Indian Test Skipper Virat Kolhi is fourth to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016, Virat's tally of runs in 2016 stands 1215 runs @ 75.93 with 4 tons and 2 fifties in 12 Tests.

Engalnd Allrounder  Moeen Ali is fifth to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016. Moeen's tally of runs in 2016 stands 1078 runs @ 46.86 with 4 tons and 5 fifties in 17 Tests. 

Pakistan opener Azhar Ali is sixth to cross 1000 runs in Tests in 2016. Azhar's tally of runs in 2016 stands 1198 runs @ 63.05 with 3 tons and 4 fifties in 11 Tests.
