2nd T20I : India beat England by 5 runs and level the T20I series 1-1.
England 139 for 6 (Ben Stokes 38, Root 38, Nehra 3-28) Lost to India 144 for 7 (KL Rahul 71, Manish Pandey 30, Jordan 3-22) by 5 Runs.
In the Second T20I at Nagpur, England won the toss and choose bowl first. India had one change Amit Mishra comes in and Rasool out.
Virat and KL Rahul Opened the batting for India. Skipper Virat Kolhi scored 21 runs in 15 balls with help of 2 fours and one Six. Jordan removed Virat Kolhi in 5th over.
In the end, India might blame their middle-order problems for not posting a big enough total. Middle-order Batsman Yuvraj Singh (5), Raina (7) and MS Dhoni(5) did n't score good enough.
KL Rahul's innings was all the more laudable for the fact that most batsmen found scoring difficult on a slow and capricious pitch. Rahul returns to form and scored fifty against England. Today KL Rahul had good knock and fired 71 runs in 47 balls with help of 2 sixes and 6 fours.
In Middle Manish Pandey support Rahul and added 56 runs in 6.5 overs for 4th wicket partnership. India scored only 144 runs in 20 overs with loss of 8 Wickets.
England Bowlers led by Jordan's (3/22) and good supported by Moeen Ali (1/20) and Pace Bowler Tymal Mills (1/36) executed their plan well.
England would not have expected a target of 145 to trouble them. But it did. Their top order tends to finish games off. Not this time. Middle Order batsmen not accustomed to finishing an innings.
Nehra Removed Both England Opener Roy(10) and Billings(11) in 4th over. And then Eoin Morgan Joined with Joe Root add 43 runs for 3rd wicket partnership. Amit Mishra dismissed Eoin Morgan in 11th over.
Ben Stokes Joined with Joe Root and added 52 runs in 6.4 overs. Again Nehra got another wicket and dismissed Ben Stokes (38) in 17th over. Bumrah had Joe Root and Jos Butler bowled in the Last over to seal India's Win.
England required 41 off 30 with seven wickets in hand, 32 off 24 wit seven wickets in hand and eight off the final over with six wickets in hand. That India still managed to win was courtesy some sensational end-overs bowling by Bumrah.
